Paediatric Sleep Consulting in Toronto
Certified paediatric sleep and potty training support for Toronto families, delivered in your home or virtually across the GTA.
Toronto is the hardest city in Canada to sleep in — and the hardest city in Canada to get a baby to sleep in. That’s not a slogan. That’s 3.1 million people, streetcar noise on Queen Street, condo neighbours on both sides, the 5:47 a.m. garbage truck on your side street, parents working two demanding jobs, and a daycare waitlist conversation that started before the baby was born. Every one of those factors plays into how a Toronto child actually sleeps.
Sleep Ready is a Canadian-certified paediatric sleep and potty training consultancy serving Toronto families directly. I’m Milos — a twin dad, a 10+ year CPR and First Aid instructor, and a certified sleep consultant with four specializations from the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting: general paediatric sleep consulting, newborn sleep (0–3 months), special needs sleep, and child-centered potty training. This page explains what I do, who I work with across Toronto, and why Toronto parents specifically need a consultant who understands their city rather than a generic programme downloaded from Instagram.
Who I work with in Toronto
Most of my Toronto clients fall into one of four groups. Every Toronto neighbourhood has its own sleep reality — a strong sleep consultant recognizes that and calibrates recommendations accordingly.
Downtown condo families
King West, Liberty Village, CityPlace, the Distillery, Leslieville, the Annex. The central question is usually shared-wall sleep hygiene, structuring a sleep environment in a one- or two-bedroom unit, and managing street and elevator noise. Toronto condo sleep is its own discipline.
Midtown and east-end family homes
Riverdale, Leslieville, The Beach, Davisville, Lawrence Park, Mount Pleasant, Cabbagetown. Older houses with creaky floors, imperfect blackout, and street parking. Light management in century windows, sibling room sharing in narrow Victorian layouts, early wakes from streetcar and garbage schedules.
West-end and Etobicoke families
Bloor West Village, the Junction, Swansea, Kingsway, Mimico, Islington. Often slightly more house, slightly more yard — and the specific challenge of longer daycare commutes affecting how the schedule is structured.
North York, Scarborough & East York families
Typically more house and space, but often managing larger multigenerational households, sibling sleep coordination, and the patterns that emerge when both parents commute south into the core.
What Toronto parents call about
The actual presenting concerns break down fairly predictably:
Newborn sleep support (0–12 weeks)
Where the work is not “sleep training” but helping exhausted parents build sustainable routines, understand infant sleep biology, and not lose their minds in the fourth trimester. Many of my Toronto newborn clients are delivering at Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook, North York General, or Michael Garron and are home within 48 hours with almost no discharge guidance on sleep.
The 4-month sleep regression
Arrives on time for almost every Toronto family around 16 to 20 weeks. This is not actually a regression — it’s a permanent neurological shift in how your baby sleeps, and it’s the single most common reason I get contacted.
Sleep training (4 to 18 months)
The classic engagement. We build a full plan together that fits your specific family, your specific condo or house, and your specific tolerance for different approaches. I do not believe in one-method-fits-all and I don’t do cry-it-out unless a family specifically requests it.
Toddler sleep
Bedtime battles, early wakings, the transition out of the crib, room sharing with a new sibling, and the return of overnight wakings that arrives with daycare germs in September.
Potty training (20 months – 4 years)
Using a child-centered, readiness-based approach rather than the three-day internet methods that cause more problems than they solve for most Toronto toddlers.
Special needs sleep
Support for neurodivergent and medically complex children — autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, epilepsy, Down syndrome, and rare-disease presentations. SickKids is in our backyard; a significant share of Toronto families navigating complex paediatric sleep are already connected into world-class medical care and need a sleep consultant who complements, not contradicts, their medical team.

Don’t see your neighbourhood? Ask — I almost always say yes.
An in-home visit is typically 90 to 120 minutes and includes a full environmental audit: room dark-level, temperature, sound profile, crib and sleep-space setup, neighbour noise, HVAC and humidifier considerations, light leak around older Toronto window frames, and the specific acoustic realities of condo living (which are almost always fixable and almost never the way you first think).
Virtual consulting for Toronto families
Some Toronto families prefer virtual — particularly new parents who don’t want a stranger in the house, families navigating illness or immunocompromise, special-needs families who find in-home visits destabilizing, and families outside my direct in-home radius (including occasional clients in the broader 905 and beyond).
Virtual consulting is delivered over secure video, with follow-up written plans and text-based support between sessions. Outcomes are substantially the same as in-home. Most of my special-needs engagements are virtual by client preference.
The advantage Toronto families get with both.
Toronto parents asking about paediatric sleep are almost always also asking about paediatric First Aid and CPR — particularly first-time parents, grandparent-heavy support networks, and any family with a child who has a medical complexity.
I also operate Life Safe, a paediatric-specific First Aid and CPR training practice. Sleep Ready offers integrated bundles that combine sleep consulting with family First Aid certification — substantially better value than sourcing each separately, and uniquely useful for families with neurodivergent or medically complex children where response readiness matters more than average.
The training behind the work
Four certifications from the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting — Pediatric Sleep Consulting (General), Newborn Sleep (0–3 months), Special Needs Sleep, and Child-Centered Potty Training. 10+ years as a CPR and First Aid instructor. Father of 10-month-old twins (born 37 weeks, currently thriving). All recommendations align with Canadian Paediatric Society position statements and SickKids clinical guidance.
Common questions from Toronto parents
How early can I start working with a Toronto sleep consultant?
Expecting parents can book a prenatal consult anytime in the third trimester. Active newborn support typically begins after the first paediatric check (around 2 weeks postpartum), though I’ll do prenatal environmental audits of condos and nurseries at any point.
Do you work with families in the 905?
For in-home visits, my direct Toronto radius includes Mississauga, Etobicoke, and near-Vaughan. Families in Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Brampton, Guelph, and the Niagara Region are typically served virtually (and I have dedicated pages for each of those cities). Virtual outcomes are functionally equivalent for most presentations.
Do you work with SickKids patients?
Yes. A significant portion of my special needs sleep practice is with families already connected into SickKids, Holland Bloorview, or Toronto-area developmental paediatricians. I complement the medical team, I don’t replace it, and I communicate with them directly when the family wants me to.
What’s the cost?
Engagements range from a one-session Foundations package to a multi-week Complete Programme. Full pricing on the packages page, and every engagement starts with a free 15-minute discovery call.
Are sessions available evenings or weekends?
Yes. Toronto parent schedules are unforgiving. I offer evening and weekend virtual sessions and some evening in-home visits.
Start with a free 15-minute discovery call
If you’re a Toronto parent wondering whether your child’s sleep or potty-training situation is something I can help with, a 15-minute call costs nothing and resolves most “is this the right fit” questions within about seven minutes. Most Toronto discovery calls end with either a clear next step inside Sleep Ready, a clear referral to a different resource (paediatrician, OT, lactation, infant feeding), or a clear “you’re already doing the right things and here’s why.”
Book your free 15-minute call → Rested child. Prepared parent. That’s Sleep Ready.
