Paediatric Sleep Consulting in Mississauga
Certified paediatric sleep and potty training support for Mississauga families, delivered in your home or virtually across Peel Region.
Mississauga is Canada’s seventh-largest city — about 725,000 people, the most linguistically and culturally diverse city in the country, and home to a particular kind of family. Dual-career households, often with close multigenerational support. Detached and semi-detached homes built between 1975 and 2005. Long commutes. Big kitchens, small windows, finished basements, and grandparents in the basement suite or two streets over. The sleep challenges that turn up in Erin Mills, Meadowvale, Streetsville, Port Credit, Lorne Park, Clarkson, Mineola, Cooksville, Hurontario, Malton, Churchill Meadows, Sheridan, and the condo corridor around Square One are remarkably consistent — and remarkably different from the ones I see in downtown Toronto.
Sleep Ready is a Canadian-certified paediatric sleep and potty training consultancy serving Mississauga families directly. I’m Milos — a twin dad, a 10+ year CPR and First Aid instructor, and a certified sleep consultant with four specializations from the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting: general paediatric sleep consulting, newborn sleep (0–3 months), special needs sleep, and child-centered potty training.
Who I work with in Mississauga
Mississauga families are overwhelmingly dual-career, often with grandparents living in the home or nearby, and almost always juggling schedules that include at least one long commute. The common sleep patterns that emerge reflect that reality.
Erin Mills, Meadowvale & Streetsville
Typically larger homes with separate nurseries — but often the classic big-house sleep problem: the baby’s room is too far from the parents’, the monitor setup is complicated, and the house runs cold in winter and hot in summer unless carefully zoned.
Port Credit, Lorne Park, Mineola & Clarkson
Older, character homes with imperfect blackout. Lake-adjacent properties bring more temperature variability than inland Mississauga. Sleep environment audits here often turn up very fixable issues nobody’s thought to look at.
Malton, Hurontario & the Square One corridor
A significant share of condo-living families and younger newlywed families with a first baby — often navigating all of this with extended family living elsewhere in the GTA or overseas, which changes how the support network works.
Churchill Meadows & the newer subdivisions
First-home families in their late twenties and thirties, often with multiple young children close in age — which creates a very specific category of sleep challenge around sibling room sharing and coordinated bedtimes.
What Mississauga parents call about
The presenting concerns are predictable, and the calibration is what matters:
Newborn sleep support (0–12 weeks)
Particularly families delivering at Trillium Health Partners — Mississauga Hospital or Credit Valley — who are home within 48 hours with a newborn and no clear sense of what infant sleep should actually look like. Newborn support is not “training” — it’s helping you build a sustainable rhythm in the fourth trimester.
The 4-month sleep regression
Arrives for Mississauga families as reliably as it arrives everywhere else — except that in Mississauga, many families are simultaneously locking in daycare or back-to-work logistics, which compounds the timing.
Sleep training (4 to 18 months)
Built around the specific architecture of your Mississauga home and calibrated to the level of parental — and grandparent — involvement in your household. Multigenerational-household sleep has particular considerations that a one-size-fits-all internet method won’t account for.
Toddler sleep
Bedtime resistance in larger homes, sibling sleep interference, the crib-to-bed transition, and the September daycare-germ sleep collapse.
Potty training (20 months – 4 years)
Using a child-centered, readiness-based approach. Mississauga has strong daycare density — a substantial share of my potty-training calls are driven by daycare pressure, and I have particular expertise in pushing back on arbitrary daycare timelines while still working toward an actual outcome.
Special needs sleep
Neurodivergent and medically complex children connected into Erinoak Kids, Trillium Health Partners, or SickKids. Peel has strong paediatric care infrastructure, and my role is to complement whatever medical team is already in place.

An in-home visit is typically 90 to 120 minutes and includes a full environmental audit: temperature zoning across larger Mississauga homes, blackout quality, sound environment (especially for families near the 403, the 401, or the QEW), sibling-room coordination, and the specific considerations of the multigenerational household.
Virtual consulting for Mississauga families
Virtual consulting is delivered over secure video with written follow-up plans and text-based support between sessions. Outcomes are functionally equivalent to in-home for most presentations, and many Mississauga families prefer the flexibility — particularly working parents juggling tight daycare-pickup schedules and households where multiple caregivers want to participate from different places.
Built for households where multiple caregivers matter.
Mississauga families asking about paediatric sleep are often simultaneously asking about paediatric First Aid and CPR — especially families with grandparent caregivers, nanny caregivers, or children with medical considerations.
Life Safe is my sister practice offering paediatric-specific First Aid and CPR training. Sleep Ready bundles sleep consulting with family First Aid certification — the substantially better value option for the right family, and uniquely useful when multiple caregivers need to be trained together.
The training behind the work
Four certifications from the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting — Pediatric Sleep Consulting (General), Newborn Sleep (0–3 months), Special Needs Sleep, and Child-Centered Potty Training. 10+ years as a CPR and First Aid instructor. Father of twins. All recommendations align with Canadian Paediatric Society guidance.
Common questions from Mississauga parents
Do you work with Trillium and Credit Valley families?
Yes. A large share of my Mississauga practice involves families delivering at Trillium Health Partners — both the Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley campuses. I coordinate with your paediatrician where appropriate, and I do not contradict medical guidance.
Can you help with multigenerational-household sleep?
Yes, and it’s actually one of the most common Mississauga engagements. Multigenerational-household sleep plans need to be calibrated differently — the plan has to work for three or four caregivers, not just the two parents. That’s a different design problem from the standard two-parent setup, and I build for it explicitly.
Do you travel to Brampton, Oakville, or Toronto from Mississauga?
I serve Brampton, Oakville, and Burlington primarily virtually (with dedicated pages for each). Some in-home visits in Oakville and near-Brampton are available case-by-case. Toronto in-home visits are part of my standard radius.
What languages do you work in?
Sessions are conducted in English. Written plans and materials are in English. Mississauga is one of Canada’s most linguistically diverse cities — when families need translation support during a session, I’m comfortable working with a family member or interpreter present and have done so frequently.
Evenings and weekends?
Yes. Virtual sessions available evenings; in-home visits available on weekends subject to schedule.
